I simply love Port. Especially when combined with macadamia nuts ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macadamia ) or with spicy Gorgonzola ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorgonzola_(cheese) ), it is THE absolute delight! Clear medium garnet colour with thick tears. Clean developing nose with medium+ intensity aromas of fig, prune, marmalade, raspberry, vanilla, nutmeg, clover, ginger and white pepper. Sweet with medium acidity, medium soft tannins, high alcohol, medium+ body and medium+ flavour intensity of sweet fruit, nuts and spices. Long aftertaste and a great balance between an austere sweetness and a well-defined fruit. An amazingly complex, yet typical Tawny port with a great aging potential.

São lágrimas de Portugal!
